Raul Rios

Raul Rios joined Baylor's Institute for Air Science as a part-time Adjunct Lecturer for Aviation Sciences beginning Fall 2023 teaching Commercial Ground School. He has enjoyed a rewarding military career in the United States Navy for over 25 years and has logged over 5000 hours flight hours in multi and single-engine aircraft, much of which was earned on missions while deployed throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.
In addition to the military knowledge and training that Raul brings to Baylor, he also has commercial airline experience as a First Officer with United Airlines, and exposure to the corporate aviation world as a First Officer with NetJets.
Raul earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University and his current position as the Director of Flight Services for the Texas Department of Transportation gives him a strong and diverse resume of qualifications to draw from.
