Flight Training
Once admitted to Baylor University, all flight training will be completed at Baylor University Flight Center, operated by Universal Flight Concepts (UFC), which is located approximately 20 minutes away from Baylor campus - 7727 Karl May Drive (click for directional map) - out of the Waco Regional Airport (ACT). Opening its doors in the Fall of 2019, the Baylor University Flight Center offers Baylor Aviation Science majors a one-of-a-kind integrated pilot training system that is unique in the world of collegiate aviation, using three different aircraft models from only one airplane manufacturer – Tecnam - in addition to all Tecnam-specific simulators for fixed-wing airplane training. Robinson aircraft and simulators are used for rotary-wing helicopter training.
Students have the ability to train in a fleet of brand new, modern Tecnam or Robinson aircraft adding more versatility and room to expand our program to meet the national demands for trained pilots. Please visit their website here for more detailed information. Tours of the flight facilities can be scheduled by calling UFC directly at 254-300-5686 or for a full experience that includes a tour of the flight line, a visit with an Aviation Science Advisor, and a tour of Baylor's campus, please contact Baylor's Visitor's Center at 254-710-8687.
